We believe that a neat and tidy school uniform helps students to understand the importance of presentation and helps them develop their self-esteem and self-confidence. We also believe that it is important that our children learn to present themselves appropriately. With this in mind, a high standard of personal appearance is expected at all times as it represents the standards set by our school for our children. Accordingly, parents must ensure that pupils comply with these standards in matters of general appearance, dress, hairstyles and JEWELLERY at all times during the school term.

Dress Code

The student dress code is established to teach students the importance of grooming and hygiene, to instill discipline, to prevent violence and disruption in the educational environment, to avoid safety hazards, and to teach students respect for themselves and others.

  1. Each student will have good personal hygiene, including but not limited to having clean combed hair, clean teeth, a clean body, and clean clothing.

  2. A student will show, through his/her actions, personal hygiene, and physical appearance, a respect for himself or herself and others.

  3. A student will dress appropriately for school, extracurricular, and co-curricular activities.

  • Girls’ hair should be tied back if it is long or it falls over the face. Hair bands and slides are acceptable but they must be dark plain colors.

  • Boys’ hair should be cut short. Severe haircuts or hair styles are not acceptable.

  • Boys are to be clean-shaven and will be required to shave at school if not meeting the requirements.

  • Girl's hair accessories: Orange/blue/white ribbon and hair accessories designed to match the school uniform are acceptable.

  • Girl's hair must be tied back fully with accessories of school colors.

  • Multi – colored or unnatural colored hair is not acceptable.

  • Make-up should not be exaggerated or excessive. This includes nail polish, which can prevent an accurate diagnosis of circulation during first aid or emergency care.

  • Students are permitted to wear one set of stud earrings per ear and 1 necklace with a thin metal chain and small pendant only

  • Earrings should be small stud earrings and are to be worn in ears only. Nose rings, eyebrow rings, and tongue rings are not allowed. Facial or body piercing, dangling earrings and items such as bracelets, lanyards, rings or chains are not to be worn. Leather necklaces, wristbands, and ankle bands are also not permitted.

  • A student will not bring to or have accessories at school that may be used or converted to use as a weapon, including, but not limited to, rat-tail combs and rakes

  • Please also be aware that the wearing of all jewellery is not permitted during physical education lessons and school sporting activities, including interschool competitions off campus and outside school hours for reasons pertaining to safety.

  • Students are required to bring a school bag, pencil case, and homework diary/planner to school each day. • PE kit is also required on days when it is timetabled.

  • The possession of skateboards / skates / roller blades / scooters and their use is prohibited at school.

  • A student will wear shoes. A student will not wear shoes that present a safety hazard such as shoes without backs, shoes with excessively high heels or platform soles, or shoes that by virtue of their construction or condition may pose a safety risk.

  • Black/Navy/White Shoes or sneakers are the only accepted Colors at school Premisis.

  • A student's clothing for school and school-sponsored activities will be hemmed.

  • A student in middle/high school will not wear sweat pants and warm up suits on campus.

Student violations of the dress code will result in disciplinary actions. On the first offense, the student will be subject to a detention. On the second offense, the student will be subject to either an in-school suspension or an out-of-school suspension. On the third and subsequent offenses, the student will be subject to suspension in accordance with the school system's suspension and expulsion policies.

Any violation of the dress code rules will result in sending the student home immediately
